Pros

Most employees and managers are great to work with. Given Oracle's size it's typically fairly easy to move around within the company to find something more to your interests if you wish. Great benefits and good job stability. Most managers are flexible when it comes to schedules (including occasionally working from home).

Cons

Typically no cash bonuses. If there are, they're small. Option grants are also generally small if you get them at all. Software engineering is usually not cutting edge or terribly exciting, but if job security is your goal then that's likely not an issue.
