      Good company for software engineers

      Pros

      Great coworkers Great hardware and software for Engineering workstations. Excellent internal technical support staff. Org is flat, wide, open, and transparent - no silos. Little politics until you reach middle and senior management. Open to tele-working. Care deeply about the usability of their software - very customer focused.

      Cons

      Easy to get pidgeon-holed in one area. Hard to stay current on emerging open source technologies.

      Great people to work with. Freedom of work Result oriented less constraint on details Compensation ok Possible for Home office

      Cons

      Strategy change every year No work-life balance Family / relationship business Number oriented. Everyone look at short term result. No long term vision Sales dominate. No eco system value. Conservative. Cannot accept new ideas. Not really listen to real customer needs Too much management. VP more than managers.

      Pros

      I guess you could say the cafeteria food was OK. The view was pretty good if you were lucky enough to get a window office.

      Cons

      Clueless management. Lots of political games played with only friends being promoted. Not a lot of clear direction. However, you will find out when you screw up from 3 different managers. Standoffish unfriendly work culture. Long hours. Few incentives. Upper management never addresses the peons. Management is out of touch and old-fashioned. Very poorly run company.
