Pros

Can't think of one offhand other than the kitchen has a wide array of snacks for sale. But again, beware because the mice get into things.

Cons

No merit increases, no reviews, no plan, no communication, backwards philosophy of defensiveness and status quo We got excited when they decided to repaint the dismal gray cave for a visit from members of the board of directors. However, they repainted it the same depressing color! Lots of that - decisions that make no sense with zero communication around the rationale. Oh and if you're not male, get used to getting a lot less respect as well. Inconsistent messaging or more typically, none, with zero opportunity for a merit increase, EVER!!! Employees have no motivation to excel and are punished for attempting to do so. Teamwork and collaboration are heavily discouraged, but feel free to discuss religion and politics! Disgusting work environment, inside and out (by the way, mice run around and defecate on your desk at night). Took me days to clean up my assigned work area when I first started but the CFO personally vacuumed a new male co-worker's cubicle and wiped down his desk surfaces prior to his arrival and had the audacity to joke with me about it. The President of the company was asked by the CFO once to pay me a compliment about a process improvement I'd made, so he stood in the middle of the bull pen area and awkwardly asked what it was I'd done that he was supposed to comment on? Not meaningful really, and certainly it would have been preferable had he just skipped the meaningless exercise. I guess being demeaning to women is funny at OSP. Nasty pot holed parking lot with a scary shop. Impossible to stay warm without wearing your coat at your desk during the winter. Constant employee turnover (gee I wonder why?) Stay away if you have any sense of self preservation.

Pros

Palfinger is a global company that values employees and customers. Very stable company with solid products. Highly valued in the industry. The company is traded on the Vienna Stock Exchange and you don't need to worry about this company being bought and sold like other companies in the US. You can grow with this company if you are willing to take on new projects or move into a different role. They have a tuition reimbursement program which helps if you want to go back to school part time. Managers are supportive and the company benefit and retirement programs are great.

Cons

The company is based out of Austria and at times the communication to the US is lacking.
