Pros

The people from the Montreal office The Exec team from the Montreal office Good condition, respect for family life Super exciting industry Global company

Cons

Every 12-18 months a new global direction comes in, and want to change everything. We inevitably lost 4-6 months doing "assessments" that lead to the same conclusion as the ones before: "No we cannot change everything". Company is losing lot of time and effort. The "Execs Matrix" are pulling the teams into many different directions, and to some degree the most strategic decisions are made by employees, as they cannot do it all, they decide where to invest their time depending on their affinities with part of the exec team, or depending on their personal opinion. A direction disconnected from the reality, willing to put every customer at risk by focusing on a 5-years replatform dream. Changing managers every 6-12 months, stalling growth opportunities as you have to prove yourself again and again.

Pros

Flat hierarchy.. Everyone is approachable. Good pool of talent from premier colleges - IIT, BITS, IIIT, NIT, IIM Big data technologies and booming fin tech domain Flexible work hours, pantry consumables Building things from scratch, challenging problems to work upon for paysafe unified platform. Team lunches and awesome yearly parties on a regular basis

Cons

Due recognition should be given for all employees even though if the project does not go to live due to internal factors like mapr infra stability issues. Work life balance gets a bit messy some times due to aggressive timelines No focus on structure and organization rather only focused on delivery resulting in mediocre quality of services. Adding new technology software every year rather than redolving the issues in the tools already integrated with like druid, vertica

Pros

- Fresh fruit Monday to Thursday - Good location - Ok benefits - Ability to work remotely - Some few nice colleagues - Good cafe on 36th floor

Cons

- Little to no company/team spirit - Unfriendly/unwelcoming colleagues - not at all geared towards new starters. There is very much a 'heads down' culture, meaning everyone looks straight ahead and do not make eye contact/acknowledge you - Clique culture - If a colleague moves over from a different team, they have no transferable skills, as different systems are used in every team and the few systems that are used across the teams appears to be "specialised" use only. They also show no interest in learning the ropes and can't be bothered to remember things/take notes - Some managers do not manage at all
