Pros

Pepsico is a massive company and I´m sure there must be some positives. While my comment does not apply to all its departments, my experience working for Strategy & Transformation was not great.

Cons

In particular, many examples of toxic behavior from some senior leaders at Digital Products and Applications - encouraged me to look for another job. It is absolutely shameful how leaders are not held accountable for their behavior ,and how company values are simply a facade, and by no means a standard, at least not in DPA. Many examples of inappropriate, bullying behavior, and don´t be naive that HR would do anything about it. It's a major red flag if you do not discipline a leader who is hurting your employees. I cannot recommend working there, especially in digital design.

Pros

Very good pay and annual bonus. Decent work life balance and PTO. Culture is mostly respectful and civilized.

Cons

You must always fear loosing your job to layoffs and offshoring. That is the one common theme at PepsiCo, especially in IT. No matter your talent or importance to the role or a project, cost savings is what matters to PepsiCo...and offshoring your position typically is what happens especially since PepsiCo has offices in India, Egypt, Mexico where labor is naturally cheaper than in US. It is not a matter of 'If' but 'when' and the risk is even higher for older longer term employees. I've witnessed people getting laid off within 1 to 2 years after getting hired due to offshoring. Advice, if you get a job in IT at PepsiCo have your resume updated and ready for when they do eventually offshore your position.

Pros

3 days off is good to have because you won't get family time during your work week depending on where you're located, management can be amazing or below average

Cons

pay isn't good for the work volume sales reps abuse the commission system so you'll have 2-3 times amount of work/pallets to do compared to them so expect 12-17 hour shifts Management are on top of you to work faster and push you to unreachable standards to get done. start time can be troubling considering you can work 17 hour shifts and be expected to show up to work a few hours after getting home. 4am start latest
