Pros

Depending on the store you work in the Primark working experience can be very different. With some managers being great and others not so much. you can make some good friends and the wage is not too bad for the work you are doing. You work your contract so no random shifts if you work 10-2 you will always work that unless you ask to change and only Monday to Friday because they hire separate weekend staff. always lots of overtime so if you need extra cash there's always an opportunity

Cons

No real benefits from working there apart from 10% off for 2 weeks at Christmas. some stores only let you buy things at allotted times in the day as well, so if you're out shopping on your day off you have to wait until the right time to buy something or there wont be a manager around to put it through. Also in most stores just because your contract says you finish at a certain time don't think that means you get to leave then. If its been busy they will make you stay until the shop is tidy for the next day and can be up to 45 minutes extra, you get paid for it but there is no choice in the matter they tell you you have to stay and that's it.

Pros

Overtime is always available pay is JUST above national minimum wage good for a first time job- just to get your self on the employment ladder.

Cons

Poor management - my till number has not worked for months and it is not be corrected despite continuous prompting. Can get bullied into overtime and made to come up with detailed excuses as to why you cant work outside your normal hours supervisors usually begin to be nice and friendly but very quickly turn into unapproachable and unfriendly people - which isn't good when they are meant to be there when you need help or have any problems. There is NO BENEFITS. when I started working there I was told my shoes were fine, until a few months ago i was told they were infact not fine (after one year of employment) therefore I had to purchase some new shoes or risk loosing my job. we also have to pay for our own uniform despite it mainly being from Primark.
