Pros

Easy to get a job, even without prior experience. Probably wont go bankrupt, theyre raking in the money.

Cons

Head office couldnt care less about its workers. Same goes for some managers but obviously there are many nice ones. No care for health and safety of workers. No discount, originally earning 4.73 an hour for being the only worker on a whole department over a weekend. Got told by my manager not to let my suicidal thoughts affect my job 🤷... My £4.73 an hour job... Let that sink in 😂. Head office denied xmas party request for the store. Our xmas party was in February 👌. Store was insanely hot, customers and workers passing out left and right. Ambulances called. Head office kept lowering temp every few weeks but it literally had no effect and it was ridiculous conditions to work in through a heatwave. No music in store so the only thing youll hear is customers swearing at you when they have qued in the wrong line for returns 🤷.

Pros

Great staff environment - easy to make friends and get along

Cons

No staff discount No reference provided when you leave and want to apply for another job Management like targeting and making examples out of people who are usually not the ones who are causing trouble Management make it difficult for you to transfer especially if your 'good staff' Managers don't listen and often have to go on numerous occasions to sort an issue out even on simple things like getting a uniform Often don't have an idea of what's going on and the amount of demand and work we have to do Some customers are horrible and treat staff like dirt, like really you can't put a t-shirt on a table and not drop it on the floor right in front of a staff member clearly cleaning and sorting out the table Difficult to get holidays Some supervisors have a power trip over their job - they only get paid £1 more than normal staff, like really?
