Pros

The opportunities are there if you want them. Full time at christmas, pretty steady overtime the rest of the year. Chances to move up in the company.

Cons

Morning shifts can be difficult to pick up.

Pros

Holiday flexibility, nothing else other than that.

Cons

You are worked like a dog, regularly referred to as a "body" as opposed to your name, or at least you department. You are expected to do the job of up 3 people as the stores are always understaffed and they refuse to employ at the same rate that lose employees. The conditions in some of the stores are ridiculous, heating on all year round so the heat is unbearable, the "VM" room which stores all the equipment is a literal deathtrap.

Pros

I love working for Primark express orally the store I am at now, (having worked in three). The managers are great and generally lovely. When I moved to uni I transferred to the store I am at now and I lived alone and didn't have any friends. My manager Mrs Huggurt took me under her wing and made work life bearable. She made me feel at easy and feel like I was needed within the store. The holiday allowance is plenty for a part time weekend worker and I have never had a problem with the hourly pay. Yes it's not as much as other places but it's higher than the national minimum wage in Scotland. My branch of Primark isn't a large store it's actually the smallest one I have worked in but I wouldn't have it any other way. I love my job here, no to days are exactly the same and the managers listen to your view and take it in. I have recently been trained up on the customer service desk and love my new role within the store. The college I work with army friends there like a family I don't have and have only added to my uni experience.

Cons

Even though my contract is only 8 hours I do 16-20 a week but this can differ depending on the time of year. Currently now that Xmas is over my store cut everyone's hours back to contracted 8 hour, this can last a month sometimes to so the pay check are quite different these months.
