Pros

Cute clothing, does everything to try and help the customers, great employee lounge

Cons

Aside from the poor communication amongst the managers, the coaches (employees from other countries with experience at international stores helping to open the store since they're brand new) clash way too much and want everything done their way. The store itself gets messy after 11am everyday for two reasons, the customers (obviously) but from them also pulling people from different departments to do put backs in an unfamiliar department and from being gone so long to do them and no coverage on the floors. They hire EVERYONE without explaining that rachetness is not allowed in the workplace, which means 85% are rude and ratchet and have attitudes. The people who do schedules don't like to help people when they request a schedule change because they cannot do the original times due to school or even another job for some and they refuse to help with change. Instead they say you can pick up a 4 hour shift....that's great, but that means I don't get a half hour break and I'm also short 4 and a half hours. Cool. There are no security tags on clothing as well, so majority of the items are stolen. The other ones get returned because of the poor quality and cheap material (shopping tip, keep ALL receipts). Very tedious job.

Pros

- Lots of opportunity for overtime - Can work hours that suit you - Good opportunity to gain experience in retail - Opportunity to work in many departments, e.g. Tills, Shop Floor, Stock Room, Customer Service Desk, Fitting Rooms - Potential to work your way up into upper management if desired

Cons

- Skeleton staff mindset, not enough staff for the store to operate effectively during busy periods - Staff generally unappreciated, not allowed to work over 40 hours a week as the store will not pay staff the time and a half they earn after these 40 hours - Can involve a lot of heavy lifting, especially when working delivery or when rearranging the store - At the end of every shift, staff are expected to have their bags and personal belongings checked by a manager before leaving the store - No holiday can be taken during November or December - No staff discount or benefits
