Pros

Good compensation for the work performed, Great flexibility and work/life balance, Work can be very fulfilling, Career growth is available if you are willing to make some sacrifices, Great people to work with and many friendships formed over the years.

Cons

Upper management is very political. There are quotas for race, gender, sexual orientation, etc. that determine who is eligible for higher roles. Performance is not necessarily the determining factor. A lot of career advancement is more about who you know and who your friends are. There is too much emphasis on affinity groups and social issues (LGBTQ issues, Black Lives Matter, Vaccination, etc.) that causes great division amongst employees.

Pros

The products are incredible and there is a lot of institutional knowledge to pick up regarding the CPG industry. The fast-friendly-fun culture is definitely lived at all levels with a lot of fun coworkers.

Cons

Very function-specific organization, meaning that once you arrive in a sandbox, you will be kept there (ie there was no escape from supply chain for me). There seems to be a culture of "churn and burn" with smart and talented people vying for few choice jobs with very little avenue to get there other than operationally taxing and unfulfilling roles.

Pros

Competitive Pay. Product distribution. Working for international company can be nice. Seemingly more forward or tolerant thinking towards todays social issues.

Cons

Insufficient staffing compared to unreasonable amount of workload for individual. Invites corner cutting and pencil pushing rather than care and quality for consumer products, leaving quality assurance to struggle. Overtime is demanded and if unwilling or unable to do so expect to be looked down upon with group-think retaliation. Someone is always making more and doing less than you.
