Pros

They have an office in Fort Lauderdale so you don't have to go to Miami.

Cons

In South Florida theres a lot of caddy women in upper management. If you're a young woman but don't want to constantly engage in their badmouthing about everyone else, or dare to stand up for the people they're trashing, you won't be accepted into the click. My fellow associates were all great, but it seems that if you want to get to the top as a woman, you have to push others down. I'm a firm believer in "a rising tide lifts all ships" but that only works if management is on board. Expect to be thrown under the bus by seniors and managers alike just to save their own rep. No one owns up to their own mistakes, and if you're honest enough to, they will eat you alive. Also, don't go above and beyond and get your work done quickly. When you ask if there's anything you can help with because you've already finished your assigned work, they will knowingly pass the buck to you with workpapers that have issues and it will blow up. Then you will be blamed entirely for things you cannot control because seniors and managers don't want to tell their clients that there's a misstatement. In the past, first years were never laid off. This year I know of at least 4 others who have been laid off even though they had good reviews. What's worse is that the company refuses to call it what it is. They've made up a bunch of excuses to fire these first years, telling us all that we did something to get us fired which we all know is bull. They over hired my class and the one coming in, and it looks worse to rescind offers than it does to "fire" people for reasons they make up. There were also several other experienced associates laid off as well. Young women beware! They are not as progressive as they claim to be. I know someone who was a victim to sexism, and although she kept her mouth shut, other women on her team eventually spoke up. However, because she was the main target of the sexist comments and harassment, the partner thought that it was her idea to report it to HR even though she didn't want it to be reported FOR THIS EXACT REASON. She ended up getting "fired" along with me. Deloitte wins when it comes to treating women like people.

Pros

None. Waste of time and talent. Just follow the standard and be obedient and happy that you are working in a such "amazing" place. Might be an okish place to start the career (1.5-2 years max) but if you have an advanced degree from a good school - please forget all your career ambitions and intellectual capacity. It is NOT needed here.

Cons

Career progression is not based on merit but rather on whether partners like you - in other words, good work doesn't lead anywhere but constantly promoting your partner and doing minor but personalized pieces of work for him does Boring, intellectually dull work that doesn't lead anywhere Long hours and depersonalized environment where you are just an "augmentation gadget" Management doesn't care at all about your personal and professional growth neither your opinion A lot of nepotism Lack of respect and overall unhealthy professional environment

Pros

Flexible hours Full benefits Good culture with coworkers A decent learning environment for first few months Great initiatives in the community Provide tons of feedback and professional development experience

Cons

Work is remedial and doesn't take much effort to understand the work once you've been there for 6months to a year Not much learning after the initial training course when you first onboard Management is extremely overbearing and there is little autonomy with a lot of work Salary is below average Copy paste job No career growth or outlook as this place only does one thing even though they preach this on a weekly basis Career development process (how you get promoted) is a load of crap, a standardized promoting cycle that they say is 'individualized' but it is not nearly close to that. Just a quota they are allowed to fill by taking the top few performers. Making it difficult to progress without serious time put in or not being buddy buddy with the managers.
