Pros

- People I work with around my grade are very good people. - A lot of people with good potential and idea sharing. - There can be opportunities to move across to other teams where you want to be in however it is not as clear cut as made out to be. - Bonus isn't bad.

Cons

- It has changed drastically since COVID with regards to it's 'deal' now backtracking on its flexibility for people. - The job you applied for isn't what you will get, you may be benched or put in a very different line of work where they want you to be regardless of the role you have applied for. This is a main reasoning for Associates/Senior Associates be 'short' in their moderation's for promotion and why many of my colleagues have left. - Level of pay isn't 'competitive', you may be working for quite some time but someone can come into the business at the same grade from another company on higher money in the band.

Pros

Great office space with all the tech you need

Cons

For a global company, haven't really got the basics right. No real people leadership or support for their way of working. Depending in the team, there is a big culture of coming across like you know everything, when in reality there is a lack of understanding and a need to acknowledge gaps (think big analysis piece without doing root cause or gap analysis). Pretty disappointing the lack of te ao Maori experience across the organisation.

Pros

1. The people are the absolutely amazing! You will be pushed hard at PwC, but as long as you are putting in effort you will be supported. 2. The benefits are also pretty good. 401(k) match is bad, but you get 2.5 weeks of firm shutdown time (July 4 week and Christmas / New Years) in addition to your vacation days. I probably get 5 weeks of vacation, which is really generous. They also pay for my phone and phone plan, which is a nice perk. 3. The experience is really good. You get a lot of exposure to big name clients, and you will learn a lot during your time at PwC.

Cons

1. The work is unfulfilling. All I do check people's work, ask for support, and document my findings. There is no decision making, and if you value making an impact you will not find that in the audit space. 2. Middle management is pretty good, but director and up seem pretty disconnected from the lower staff levels.
