Pros

Exposure to top level management on engagements Good exit opportunities

Cons

Lowest compensation out of the big 4 and other leading consulting firms. Not the smartest leadership, just 'experienced' at their jobs by doing it again and again and again Cut throat culture in the New York office - mid management level is not very competent. When you join the firm, the orientation process is very poor and you are not very well integrated into the team.

Pros

- Good learning environment from associate to senior associate level - Top and multinational clients - Competitive benefits within Big 4 - Various internal opportunities (if you know who to talk to) - Going digital is currently the priority - A plus in resume; easily recognize

Cons

- In the Netherlands, there are a lot of uncertainties for most of the expats (myself included) in terms of career progression after Manager role - Job opportunities are mainly given to selected people who work closely with BU leaders - speaking Dutch matters as you go higher in the career ladder (though they are an international company) - work-life balance can be improved - resource planning and change management can be improved - too many digital initiatives without proper introduction to the people

Pros

- A huge positive change from the way IFS used to be only a couple years ago; the future never looked brighter! - Big opportunities for those willing to put in the dedicated hours - Lots of promotion and advancement opportunities - Great co workers that are willing to help out other like-minded team players - Leadership has the perfect balance of big picture strategy, sales and a real sense of family.

Cons

- Might be TOO fast paced for folks not used to working on projects with little legacy knowledge to fall back on - If you arent full invested in the mission, there is no place for you; thats just a fact (probably more of a pro than a con) - Pay needs to match the Advisory side of the business in order to continue to attract top talent from industries. - Lots of opportunities to WFH which really balances work/life
