Pros

The only thing good about working at PwC is you get to add it to your resume.

Cons

1. DO NOT work here if you have a life/family. The so-called 'work/life' balance mantra that senior management constantly preaches is NOT a reality. It is but a mere catch phrase that seems to be popular with senior management who thinks if they say it enough that it is somehow true. Plan on working 60-70 hours per week + travel. 2. DO NOT expect any growth oppurtunities. The growth oppurtunities are reserved for those who know the least but can poltik the best. It really is almost like a jr. high popularity contest except all the nerds are the popular ones. I saw so many of the best people leave the firm because of how poorly they were treated. The firm is full of half-wits who do not want to see anyone else succeed so they trash others to make themselves look good. It is very sad. 3. The biggest dissappointment about working at PwC is to see just how little the seniors and management really know. Everything gets pushed down to the first-year associates for them to do and it winds up having to be done 3 and 4 times over because they don't know any better. And god forbid you ask a question. Out of the thousands of questions I or my colleagues asked while working here, I can count on 1 hand the number of direct/correct answers we received. I was shocked to finally realize that no-one really has a clue with the exception of a very small few (who wind up leaving the firm anyway). Recently, senior management wanted to cut staff by 25%, however this was never communicated to anyone at the staff level prior to busy season. With that goal in mind, many people who worked very long and hard hours were told after busy season that their performance was lacking and weren't going to receive any raise or bonuses. A lot of them wound up leaving the firm but it goes to show just how low the firm will go. I have worked in many professional capacities and I must say that working at PwC has been the absolute worst experience. It would be funny how bad it is if it wasn't so sad.

Pros

Variety in projects Company perks

Cons

The culture became so toxic following COVID, it's now a soul-less place to work. They are making a minimum of two waves of redundancies every single year for the past few years and only once or twice has this leaked publicly. Things are bad. They are doing so poorly in the market because of their crap reputation after fines that getting rid of staff and bringing in juniors on lower salaries has become the norm. There have been rumours that some partners who left months ago still have not been able to claim back their stake. They don't care about your development unless you have a technical role, and if you're disabled you're screwed because they don't know how to make things fair and equitable for their workforce. Their tactics regarding getting people to take redundancy are underhanded and the only people who seem to progress fit a very specific mould. I was bullied by my manager who took a dislike to me because I am disabled which I could never prove, and I was contacted when off sick for a fortnight and unable to sit up in bed to ask for work to be done. Stay away, this is a horrible place to work.

Pros

1. PwC has employees from different countries whose different culture is awesome to learn from. 2. It is good to work with different nationalities of employees because their ways of reasoning help you to add value.

Cons

1. PwC's cultural diversity is not the best because it is dependent on your nationality. This means if your senior or supervisor who writes your snapshot doesn't like just one thing about your project, they will deliberately rate you too low. 2. Snapshots and reviews of minority employees are screwed and discriminatory. 3. If you are an employee from a third-world country, don't accept a third-world senior or manager to write your snapshot, or else, he/she will deliberately grade you low. Ask for a senior or manager who comes from any of the Western nations. Undeniably, a lot of the seniors who are Americans and Europeans are very good and understanding with empathy for minority employees. 4. A lot of the seniors intentionally assign new employees difficult projects (assignments) simply because they want them to fail. 5. A lot of PwC employees don't respond to greetings if they don't know you or if they realize you are not in the same status as them. 6. A lot of the departments and teams are too toxic and there is no one to seek help.
