Pros

Somewhat relaxed atmosphere. A good place to start if you are new to financial industry. The employee discount on commission trading is probably best in the industry.

Cons

High employee turnover. No clearly defined career path for employees. Lower level managers (from senior down) and a couple of directors poor people skills.

Pros

Easy to get hired, they hire about 10 new people every 3 months due to the high turnover.

Cons

Very low salary (less the industry average), limited benefits, no opportunity for advancement, every time a position opens the whole company applies to it.

Thanks for your review. We do hire approximately 10 Client Services Specialists (CSS) every quarter because many of these agents quickly advance to other roles within the company. Our CSS agents interact with our clients on a daily basis and know our products/services the best, which is why they’re an extremely qualified pool of candidates who often move on and join other parts of the business. At the end of the day, we do our best to hold on to our talent.

Pros

They paid better then the big bank I previously worked at in the same position. Office located off of the TTC subway line. They have some innovative products, like USD in a registered account.

Cons

Way too many trades not being executed because of technical issues. Clients often had to wait 30 minutes or more to speak with a client service rep. Supervisor did nothing but talk to his girlfriend on the phone all day. Management wold make promises and not keep them. Low employee moral.
