"final placement" or transitioning off the program into a permanent role could have been explained much more transparently by the Program Office. You're "guaranteed" a role post-program, but the quality of that role and if it lines up with your career goals is debatable.

Had an offer from the company for 8 months contingent on graduation. Graduated with honors and a month later, less than 48 hours when I was expected to start, the offer was rescinded last minute. HR claims they will work with you and be flexible on assignments, but it appears that is not the case. Communication was very poor. I had to initiate contact multiple times only to receive vague answers until the final "chat" was scheduled which turned out to be a rescinded offer.
