Pros

The salary is fair relative to the cost of living in the area. Some of the work I have done has been reasonably interesting. The benefits are pretty good. Overtime is rarely expected but sometimes available if desired.

Cons

Salary compression is a problem. Promotions can take a while depending on the department. Most of the work areas are dreary and depressing. No part of the outdoor areas on campus are picturesque. Most of the work available requires spending all day in a dreary, windowless environment.

Pros

Strives to be ethical, lawful and honest. High technology products allow interesting jobs for engineers. Strives for continuous improvement in its operations. Strives to put the customer first. Strives to deliver high quality products that meet the customer's needs.

Cons

Continuous improvement also causes frequent reorganizations and the resultant uncertainty, confusion, and sometimes job loss. Politics among the executives sometimes gets in the way of employees doing their jobs.

Pros

You get to work with cutting edge technology and you will collaborate with folks from all departments. The work is challenging and your customers are very grateful.

Cons

Too much time goes by between promotions. In the Texas sites, there's a real "good ole boy" culture, that makes it hard to move up if you're not working with the folks that have the ability to promote you.
