Pros

Lots of experience and the ability to move around to different areas, even functions. This is mainly due to the lack of retention of quality people. Basically if you’re a warm body, you’re valuable.

Cons

Your experiences don’t amount to much when it comes to transitioning out of RB. You might find yourself feeling lost in a well run organization; We call it being “reckittized.” Little focus on people development and the disorganization starts at top down. Upper management seems lost and just as confused as their subordinates. Promotions are generally based on who you know and the latest agenda. Don’t be surprised if someone with far less experience than you is being compensated much better. Global agendas destroy the local business. Company can use a PMO because projects generally are painful.

Pros

Friendly co-workers and overall good working environment. Decent compensation and opportunity to travel globally.

Cons

An ever increasing list of priorities are added constantly which you are expected to complete with lightening speed whilst attending their never-ending meetings that can go for over 2 hours. Depending on your group you are expected to do everything! Literally. You are running around all day being bombarded by many requests needed ASAP while other group members have a lot of extra time to sit around and chat randomly about non-work related issues. Your promotion will not be based on your work but how close you are with managers and your social interactions overall. Mostly political BS. I've wondered what some people actually do here! Again this depends on your group, other groups may be different.

Pros

Solid pay and benefits........and group of equally disgruntled staff to lean on.

Cons

Lack of systems No processes No support from management Speed over quality style leadership Mid and senior leadership not aligned Corporate influence with relevant perspective Finger pointing instead of accountability No training.....literally Subjective review process impacting marginal raises Extremely high turn over - mid level management known to last less than a year across multiple departments Constant change Reactive hiring Too many fires No work life balance across the board
