Pros

Stable company, Google ecosystem, genuine CEO, hyper growth in business. Unlimited PTO, paid holidays, remote work options.

Cons

Some growing pains from expanding so rapidly. Some departments lack strategy, not always clear how your work connects. Benefits are average. Pay isn't standardized. Path for career growth isn't always clear.

SADA Response
5y
I know it's not typical to respond to a total 5-star review with approvals across the board, but THAT's how important we feel feedback like this is. Some of the cons pointed out are important. Every year, the Executive Management Team, along with People Operations, work hard to introduce and offer more benefits to SADAians. Two years ago, we launched our Parental Leave Policy making it possible to pay eligible employees for time off when having a new baby/adoption. In addition to this, we also offer private insurance that covers paid leave for disability (short and long) should this be the case for new parents. Offering this benefit was a big step for SADA as typical companies our size do not offer this. With regards to our retirement plan, at the beginning of this year, we increased our match percentage by 1% and also found, after looking at market data, that a 4 year vesting schedule is pretty competitive. Hopefully, when people join SADA, the plan is to stay longer term so this wouldn’t be an issue, however, the schedule does allow for a certain percentage to be vested, gradually, each year. As far as career-pathing goes, this is critical for our success, and is a has been a huge focus the last couple of years. We have done a spotlight for career pathing in our town hall, and we have also recorded a cloud n’ clear session this year, where the Talent Development Team went into detail about what career pathing looks like at SADA. We too wish the process of fully formalizing career-pathing for all employees in every department was moving faster - however, as you can imagine, this is a careful and meticulous process. I know the Talent Development team is working diligently with all the department heads to get this done right. We want to ensure that everyone has a clear and well understood and motivating career path here at SADA. In addition we have also partnered with LinkedIn Learning to contribute to the personal development and growth of our SADAians. This is in the pilot phase right now, and due to launch early Q3 company wide. I’m really proud of what we’ve accomplished and the direction that we are moving in. I do acknowledge that there’s always room for growth and improvements. Thank you for your feedback! We truly appreciate it!

Pros

Easily one of the best experiences I've ever had in a sales role. Management is extremely supportive in helping you be successful in both your role and career development whether it be at SADA or elsewhere. As cliche as it may sound, the team genuine feels like a family. And trust me when I say I am no drinker of the kool-aid. In fact, many would say that I lean towards the side of a pessimist. The time that I've spent in the Inside Sales Representative has undoubtedly changed my outlook on being a member of a team in workplaces. I've never had managers that made me feel comfortable in completing my job in whatever way that I saw fit. I can honestly say that I was never micro managed, put in a box of what traditional success looked like, threatened with weekly/monthly KPI's, or performance plans. In regards to compensation, you will probably make more money here as an inside sales rep than you will at any other company in the country. In addition to this, your managers are really good about giving spiffs out for just about any reason. You'll find out quickly that you're rewarded for the effort that you and your teammates put in very frequently. I've received countless high dollar gifts, gift cards worth anywhere between $100-$300, and etc... for winning things like call blitz, or competitions sponsored by Google. Being rewarded for something that other companies are going to have you do anyways sounds pretty good to me. Lastly, you'll get to travel in this role more than you would in most other inside sales roles. Which is awesome. You also have incredible access to the leadership in the company. I've spoken to Tony the CEO several times. He'll ping you and congratulate on your accomplishments, hop on hangouts with you, etc... Our CTO Miles Ward even attended one of our call blitz to help out and hop on calls with the team. You won't find a company that's more supportive of their sales team than SADA. They'll even pay for you to get any professional certificates from Google. We have the best tools, the best culture, and leaders who are truly invested in your success. TLDR: This company is awesome. Get in while you can. We're on a rocket.
