Pathetic Globalization leadership

Pros

This review and the ratings are only for Globalization Leadership which has nothing to do with other SAP pillars which are undoubtedly the best places to work at. If you are a prospective candidate for a globalization project, you should go through the Cons atleast once!

Cons

1. Top to bottom, except a few, every person in leadership plays politics. 2. Priority given to people from a specific state of the country 3. Inexperienced people are made managers who have least idea how to manage resources and have "ZERO" people skills and think the resources are just "MACHINES" 4. Some managers expect employees to work for stretched hours to deliver the "Undeliverable" 5. Managers take more commitments than their teams can deliver; consequently pressurizing and forcing the team to work for more hours to please the bosses! 6. Undue favour shown to people from specific region/state of the country. 7. Everything happens only by politics / networking / pampering your boss. 8. You will get good annual ratings, only if you can fill your boss ears with bad gossips about others (leg pulling), stay longer in office, no matter you work or not! 9. Management is least bothered about your expertise; interest in any topic; you have to work on whatever technology they say! Advice to any prospective candidate: If the prospective project is in Globalization; and if you are not good at pampering managers, then don't join the team!

Large company, opportunity to learn and grow in different team,

Cons

I think I have a bad experience as I had a bad manager that always put pressure and tight deadline to my work as my manager only cares about number of new features can be delivered it seems to have better pay but I now have a better pay at another company not recommend to friend who does not always want to work for extra hours

Thank you so much for your review. It's unfortunate to hear of the issues with management. The mission of our leaders is to drive innovation, but we want our employees to enjoy what they do. Our employees should feel comfortable to express when they need a better work/life balance for their workload. We are glad you felt you could learn and grow here with us.

Pros

If you love IT and to be aware of the lastest and greatest techologies that will definie the way we do business, you will enjoy be part of the SAP family. It's a great school where who can learn new things if you get lucky to be in the right project or team. Some projects you have to go abroad but others are essencially remote. Work-life balance is usually good but it mainly depends on the project where you are in. You have the chance to take by free some SAP certifications that are highly appreciated by the market.

Cons

Almost everything else... The first thing to fix is increase the poor wages that exists in the SDC. The only way to earn more money is to have a project where you can work on-site. And these kind of projects are decreasing day after day. Concerning the career progress, it is very slow and if you enter into a uninteresting project sometimes its very difficult to get out of it at it at less it starts to go in the wrong way... Regarding the management team, it also depends who is your manager. They are very goal-oriented and they make everything to achieve those goals. They usually listen the team complains but usually they reply saying that they don't have power to change - or they don't want to - and this harmly affects the trust and transparent between the consultant's teams and the management. If you are one of the entrants, usually you have to pay a very high fee in order to get out to move to another company. So if you get upset and you don't like your job, you have to remain in the company unless you pay a lot - really, a lot! Ah, and to finish...and that one is embarassing: there is one breakout area without forks available to everyone that eats there. Forks should be expensive these days...
