Don't even think of working here!

Pros

My colleagues and local managers are great, caring people.

Cons

Sage has a performance policy that is a RIFin disguise. Instead of laying off employees though, they force managers to cut 15% of their workforce by placing them on a performance plan with impossible or no goals so that fhere is no way the employee can be retained. Or expect that employee to throw another under the bus. We've lost great people and those that are hardly bad employees are let go with no possibility of unemployment compensation. Don't come here. Your life will be ruined.

Pros

Nothing. Seriously I cannot think of one thing I liked. My favourite memory was the last day as I closed my car door and drove off.

Cons

Bell curve, products that are so old and dated they make a dinosaur look like something from the future. Leadership that is fickle and bases opinions on gossip and hearsay, not the work undertaken. An old boys club, where being different is enough to be downgraded in rating. I wouldn’t wish this place on my worst enemy. I look forward to reading about the companies demise in a couple of years from now.

Pros

Good pay Good benefits Lots of social/community days Shame it doesn't make up for the illegal processes you are expected to follow.

Cons

Basic fraud being committed by several high up managers. No duty of care - your upset at work? Shame. I have seen several employees made to feel so uncomfortable by managers that they cry, breakdown and quit. Unfairness all round. Three employees walk in late together - one gets a meeting, one gets a head shake and one gets a high five. Ignorant stuck up managers that make no attempt at conversation with you. Only certain employees will be offered upskill or extra training - this is decided by looks and 'banter' rather than knowledge and skill. Complete lack of empathy, care and protection. Disgraceful processes. Being late four times in a 12 month period and you WILL be dismissed. Disregarding weather/accidents and incidents that cause multiple people to be late. 'Oh there was a 6 car 1 bus crash that made you late? Better start looking for a new job'. Got cancer? Need some time off for treatment? Better look for a new job. Your child just died? Better look for a new job. Extremely hostile place to work.
