Pros

For the most part, great people to work with Nice facilities and building if a little run-down Good benefits Parking

Cons

Constant, directionless restructuring Management is made up of lifers who promote their friends, or short term tenures that leave quickly when they realise the mess they've joined i.e jaqueline de rojas (have a google). Progression in R&D an IT is a joke Mass exodus of experienced team leads and technical staff

Thanks for your review. We'd agree that we have awesome colleagues and the facilities across the Sage portfolio are brilliant and it seems every month we open a newly refurbished office which our people love! Our rewards team work hard to ensure our pay, rewards and benefits are good as well. Our transformation is about creating an all-encompassing 'One Sage' and we are pleased to say there's been a lot of progress and the effects are having strong positive outcomes. Our CEO, Stephen Kelly and his Leadership Team have developed a great strategy and a strong vision to energize the success of businesses and communities around the world through the imagination of our people and smart technology. The restructuring allows collaboration like we've never had before at Sage, how we live our values, and how we flawlessly execute to put our customers first. The aim is also about bringing brilliant execution, a strong and positive culture, and our cause of supporting the business builders together. We have amazing people, great products that every business on this planet needs, and a cause that inspires us to do our very personal best. Our global colleague engagement survey has just closed and the results are being analysed. There's also lots of other engagement activities going on as well as others being planned. Thanks again for your feedback.

Software as a disservice

Pros

Many of the people you work with are good people. The business partners from the channel are also great to work with.

Cons

Never in my life have I worked for such an unprofessional company. I have been in situations innumerable times that made me question my morales and the integrity of this company. The entire "sales floor" is little more than a bunch of over paid bill collectors. They use fear and intimidation instead of service and value to renew customers. Oftentimes they also prey on customers ignorance to move people from over priced perpetual software onto over priced subscriptions that offer no value or improvements in the solution. Commission structures are subject to change at a moments notice and can be retroactively applied to recoup money sales reps rightfully earned. Quotas are made unobtainable for the aforementioned "bill collectors" resulting in "alternative" methods of revenue generation. Often of an unscrupulous nature. The channel program is a joke. The partners are treated like garbage. The channel managers are little more than glorified lead distributors who all seem to be on highly paid vacation. The attempted blend of indirect and direct sales is a complete disaster resulting in animosity on both sides of the business. VPs, directors and managers all concern themselves more with interpersonal relationships and favoritism than actual leadership. Everyone of them is cracking a whip instead leading the charge. It's spiraling out of control and the writing is clearly on the wall.

Pros

Flexible schedule, option to work from home, traces of the original Timberline culture still occasionally encountered. Average benefits. Average compensation.

Cons

Company reduces employee benefits every couple is years. Management ideology does not match situation on the ground. Very structured with little room for creative movement. (Even the height of every desk in the building is mandated by a company policy.)
