None - No one should work here or buy Sage software until they publicly renounce their employee performance management system and actively change the culture for the better.

Cons

Penny pinching culture, restrictive PTO policy, and every 6 months to a year 20% are placed on a performance plan regardless of actual objective performance against the job description.

The performance review process is designed to provide a formal opportunity twice a year between managers and team members to discuss what has been achieved and how results have been achieved. Of course we encourage performance feedback in the moment and regularly as you suggest and the intention is for this to be motivational and corrective too, as necessary. We have lots of opportunities to grow and build your career at Sage, from our leadership programme, to mentoring at Sage to Linda.com. Also, during your development conversation with your manager, use this as an opportunity to discuss how you would like to develop. There are some great tools to guide you in the Sage Academy. Pros

Strong brand on CV. Respected in industry. Strong pedigree. Worked with some very good people and seems to recruit very well

Cons

Treat field based staff awfully. Salary is fairly average and targets are structured in a way that commission isn't easy at all. You certainly won't earn your fortune working here.

Our values include ‘Do the Right Thing’ and this means our honesty and integrity is how we gain confidence and trust. We get a lot of positive feedback from colleagues about how good our benefits are and great work life balance. With respect to salary, commission and targets we believe are competitive in the market and there is plenty of opportunity to become successful and earn, plus excel - this is being demonstrated right now with over 100 of our colleagues attending our Platinum Elite event - they are in Dubai right now celebrating their awesome achievements! There aren't many pros. This organisation is very inward thinking and not very people orientated.

Cons

Bully culture and poor leadership from senior manager. most people feel Sage will always be top of their game and have taken their eye off the outside world.
