Pros

Lots of perks. OK pay scale.

Cons

Management completely out-of-touch with troops on the ground. Almost completely metrics-based performance evaluations (despite what management says) bleeds focus away from more valuable goals, breeds unhealthy competition. Extremely slow career growth. Massive overhauls to departmental organization every six months, making a shell game out of picking a career path within the company.

Pros

Great pay. Lots of free food. Modern buildings/furniture. Average 401k - 50% match up to 6% of paycheck. Food carts come several times a week. Exercise equipment on premise. You can borrow bikes and there are some great paths around. Free beer on tap!

Cons

Micro-management. Out dated phones and laptops. It's a call center job. Volunteer time off is actively discouraged in support. Work with offshore contractors. Career growth? Non-technical managers. Mandatory overtime. Mandatory weekend on call. Working from home is discouraged. Cubicles are call center style so no privacy. Active abuse from internal sales people who spy on your cases.

Pros

Great co-workers, flexibility to work from home when needed, new products/innovations to learn, and an opportunity to expand your knowledge of the digital space.

Cons

There's zero work/life balance if you're in Services. You are expected to be "on call" all hours of the evening, work long hours during the day/week, and forget having any extracurricular activities or spending time with your family. You cannot "check out" and it's not a healthy lifestyle. Don't challenge senior leadership on department practices, ways to foster change, or steer from the majority opinion because you will pay for it in performance reviews even though they state in your interview that they love new ideas that change the way they operate. When you add up the hours you actually work during the week, you are significantly underpaid!
