Pros

+ Good benefits + Work-time is flexible and not too many hours + Probably one of the best office environments in the world (office space, infrastructure, restaurant gym)

Cons

- As foreigner you will be doing not much important work. Probably unimportant side tasks - Endless analysis paralysis. You will probably end-up in an endless project proposal cycle. Samsung wants your ideas, but they don't want you to execute it. Your team leader will take your ideas and sell them as his own, you won't get credits for your ideas (That's probably just Korean work culture). - Strong hierarchy culture. You are not supposed to give your ideas in meetings - No english communication, you will be probably the only foreigner in a team that only communicates in Korean. Even in small meetings they will not switch to English. - You will be not involved in decision processes and most team members will avoid you due to issues with communication and working culture. It is kind of a hostile environment to foreigners (probably even to Koreans) - You will make good money, but you will feel like sitting on the reserve bench with non important tasks assigned.

Pros

1. Competitive Remuneration 2. Good Staff Benefits 3. Nice & Friendly Colleagues 4. Advanced Supply Chain System 5. Rich with Resources of Information like Data, Reseach, Numbers etc Generally, I find the company is suitable for fresh grad and young people who would like to build their foundation in the corporate world as the company exercise performance based efficiency. Working style in Samsung would greatly disciplined and mold an individual to be analytical and efficient.

Cons

A company with strong remuneration and performance driven would come with a downside of many factors. One is expected to be as below; 1. Long Working Hours 2. System and Keyboard Warriors 3. Top Down demand, requirement and targets from Management 4. Stressful Environment 5. Unrealistic Timeline 6. Strong Korean working style 7. No sense of Loyalty for the Brand Samsung is a performance driven company, you must be measure by something to define excellent. There is no space for personal development in some skills or interpersonal development. Even the KPI and appraisal is based on how much you can do for the company and not what the company can do for you. Thus, 2 to 3 years max for experience gaining but not for long term.

Pros

If you like change, there is always a way to change everything

Cons

Korean Dispatchers!!! Local Managers have no authority to proceed. Even top level decisions are taken with panic, and changing rapidly. Paperwork ( may be not on paper but it is burden) takes 80% of your time even if you are a manager.
