Pros

Flexible work hour Great work-life balance Excellent co-worker Stable job

Cons

No visibility to upper management Career growth is based on length of job, performance has no effect on progression Salary is below average No training at all Bonus is give to old folks only. There is no rule for bonus. No raise in salary if someone gets promoted HR presence is none It is easy to get stuck in the same position for years

Pros

So long as you met or exceeded your customers expectations, management allowed employees a great deal of flexibility in both hours & location of work. They also put a great deal of emphasis on knowledge sharing. Invaluable for even the most seasoned veterans when dealing with a product suite as large & complex as teamcenter.

Cons

I can only attest to my small corner of the global Siemens plm world, but I found that I, as a woman, was paid considerably less than my counterparts.

Pros

Great colleagues, very friendly place to work. Very flexible working arrangements, flexible lunch times, working from home is common, and you can arrange to work from other locations, too, if you want. Excellent pay

Cons

Fantasitcally inefficient working practices. For example, on one 27-man month project I was on, all the coding took only 2 man months. The rest of the time was spent in documentation, meetings, on the phone. Managers seemed to know nothing about the software or about software engineering and have a very flimsy grasp of managing technical debt. As a result, spiralling tech debt was cripping innovation. Very political. Yes-men did well. Backwards-looking technologies.
