      Pros

      I have met many good people working as simple designers, not managers. Unfortunately, they usually don't stay long.

      Cons

      In the place where I worked the managers were not very interested in the result, rather than playing political games with employees, guided by their personal likes/dislikes. Fortunately, in my case after ignoring common sense on a couple of projects, one manager was let go, and the other was able to escape moving to other branch. But the things have not changed. The new managers continued the chaos created by the previous managers. Show must go on. As a result: "Revolving Door Company".

      Pros

      - huge company so you have exposure to many jobs and can switch easily within the company. - depending on job profile, there are chances to work abroad (especially Germany) but you have to have a great manager to help you on that path. - stable job and you can grow as much as you want to.

      Cons

      - political company with traditional work culture. - not as flexible but depends on your manager as there is so much of variation within the company. Lot of people are trying to move away from the standard inflexible and traditional environment but it takes a long time for that kind of change to happen. - salaries not very competitive. - micro management in all the 4 positions i have held here

      Pros

      It's a really strong brand. Siemens is really good at telling you how really good it is. They believe their own propaganda.

      Cons

      It's a club and the criteria for membership isn't clear. Management think they are the real deal - but they're old school, with old ideas and outdated knowledge.
