Pros

Great company values Great collection of accessories Great team members Great for sales consultants

Cons

My manager is very good and has been in the company a while but zero progression. The people who are being promoted look right they can’t really do the job. I definitely will look to other brands for progression. You won’t any progression In Swarovski once you get to store management but that’s if a place actually comes up. Store teams are very diverse. But area manager upwards isn’t which is strange especially since the headoffice is based on London. Progression and clear job roles for senior sales as well doesn’t make sense.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. At Swarovski, we truly value constructive employee and customer feedback, both positive and negative. Our hope is to make each individual employee, from our stores to our corporate offices, feel that they are valued. We are of course thrilled that you list as Pros: “Great company values” and “Great team members” as teamwork is the cornerstone of our success, when we work together, we provide better service to our customers. We are also happy to read amongst your Pros: “Great collection of accessories”, as being passionate about our products is what sets us apart from other retailers. In addition, as part of our compensation package we offer a generous discount and a Jewelry allotment to our retail employees, as we love when our employees can wear and enjoy our products and showcase them to our customers. As for your Cons: “zero progression ", please note we have an excellent record of promoting from within and working with associates during the mid-year and year-end reviews, to create an Individual development plan and to identify what they need to do to achieve their short and long-term career goals and move to the next level. We are sorry if this has not been your experience at Swarovski and we suggest you talk with your manager and HRBP about your career goals and how to achieve them. Once again, we want to thank you for taking the time to leave a review at Swarovski, we value feedback both positive and negative and your feedback will be shared with upper management as feedback is crucial to the betterment of the company. We also want to wish you much success in your future with Swarovski.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. At Swarovski, we truly value constructive employee and customer feedback, both positive and negative. Our hope is to make each individual employee, from our stores to our corporate offices, feel that they are valued. We are of course thrilled that you enjoyed the work environment and list “Beautiful place to work in” and “Merchandise is of good quality” as Pros. We are constantly working with our design team to provide our customers -The Perfect Fashion Accessory for Any Occasion. As for your concerns about pay, we strive to remain competitive in our compensation practices and regularly review our pay rates and bonus structure. We are also proud as part of our compensation program to be able to offer a full benefits package to all our Full-Time employees and a modified benefit package to our Part-Time employees, including the ability to participate in our 401K. We continually evaluate our compensation and the benefits we offer to our Full-Time and Part-Time employees and therefore last year we rolled out a new Retail Employee Bonus Program. This new bonus program, was rolled out after much research to enhance our compensation and to foster an environment where teamwork can flourish. The new bonus structure also embraces an omni channel approach to selling as it takes into consideration the success of the entire North America market including our online sales. Since you did not indicate when you left the company, we are not sure if you had the opportunity to participate in this program, as this program does address our retail employees concern over pay. Once again, we want to Thank you for your feedback and wish you much success in your future.

Pros

Swarovski used to be great. Great environment and management. I started in 2014 in my first year of uni, in the Sydney flagship store and moved to work at Macquarie after a while. Management was great, in particular Ryan, Jacko and Patrick. The team was amazing also. In fact, it has been years and our whole team from 2014-2016 at Swarovski Macquarie Center still keep in touch and catch up regularly. Things went downhill after they all left/ changed positions.

Cons

New management was simply awful. I have been with 5 other companies in my working career and though only one other company has 'bad' management, it was no where NEAR as awful as Swarovski was. I was treated horribly and would cry regularly. Every single staff that I had gotten to know quit due to our new manager and I was the only one left - which made me her target because I challenged her (as I had been with the company for longer than she) and did things the 'old' way which the new manager didn't like because she didn't like my old manager (demonstrated by the fact that she tore down and threw out pictures of the old team in her first week instead of asking if someone wanted to keep them). Additionally, she was extremely lazy and constantly complaining. Whether it be about her workload (which my previous manager managed fine without offloading half of it to the causal staff, as she did), customers or other staff members. The Head Office did not care at all and excused the new manager and all her mistakes or wrongdoings even after numerous complaints from staff and customers alike. Meanwhile, I got written up for a customer complaint that was no where near as serious as hers as well as accused for stuff I didn't do. Got this rescinded when I showed them proof that manager initiated and she received no repercussions. I'd been with the company for over 4 years at this point with a spotless record and one of the highest tracking KPIs for the store. Swarovski as a company shows no loyalty or understanding, empathy or care for their staff. The last year or so that I was at Swarovski were genuinely extremely difficult and the bad treatment at the Macquarie store took a toll on my mental health to the point that my friends noticed and urged me to quit or seek counselling. The sentiment that people quit managers not jobs is extremely true in this situation.
