Pros

Take training and punctuality seriously and you will do well. If you have never worked at a call center, you will learn so much that you can take with you everywhere. For example, I learned how to de-escalate angry customers, how to actively listen, how to sell, how to coach adults without coming across as condescending. Think of this as a stepping stone for you. You can move up very quickly. Don’t worry about the people that act poorly. Stand out and be part of the solution. They always provide a bonus structure regardless of the campaign that you work on. For the campaigns that require insurance licenses, they will literally pay for your background check, your fingerprinting, your training for the test, and your first attempt at the test itself. Hello?!!

Cons

You can be a great agent but that doesn’t necessarily mean that a higher position is for you. The positions higher than agent are stressful and you must be ready for that. They go through agents quickly because they have had to resort to rehiring people that they should not have hired in the first place, people that do not act professional.
