Pros
It was a job and a paycheck
Cons
Management treats you like dirt. While I understand the need to have people at their desks/cubicles taking calls, People do have needs ad legitimate reasons for being away from their desks for brief periods of time when it is NOT their lunch or break. i was someone who takes medication that causes me to have to use the restroom a little m ore frequently than some. I even brought in a medical note form my physician and put it on file with HR to document this so they knew the situation was legitimate. I was a good, dependable employee who was never late and never absent in the whole time I worked there. I even got favorable reviews from customers all the time. Things were "basically OK" for a while. One day though I let my manager know I was going to the restroom. I was rudely told "no, you need to go sit down now and take calls." Well, I apologized, said it could not wait and would be right back. Oddly enough, later that day I was called in to an office and was released for "bad customer service surveys. It was obvious that it was not the real reason I was let go. This company has a HUGE turnover rate. Not only because of the way they treat people but because they cannot properly manage their accounts. This is why they have to lay people off because they lose the accounts.
