Teradata has a great work life balance, and many of the employees work virtually. Many talented people work here.

Cons

The company is used to relying on large enterprise data warehouse sales. With the advent of Hadoop the technology landscape has changed, and Teradata employees must speed up the rate at which they sell and deliver.

Pros

Amazing group of people, and a leading technology. Very supportive of virtual/mobile job setups.

Cons

Company is struggling with revenue growth...it seems the market is shifting, and they are struggling to shift with it. Impacts bonuses, revenue sharing, dept budgets, etc., and puts a level of stress into everyone's jobs--make more $$ with less. Still fairly immature in marketing, despite having extremely skilled people on staff. Barely using the advanced analytics tools which the company sells to its customers! However, it is a great place to work, and I highly recommend it for anyone with the patience to see it through the tough times.
