Pros

Good opportunities to learn new technologies, decent benefits (lower medical insurance costs than at a previous employer). Historically it has been a stable company with low turnover (that is changing).

Cons

A lot of stove pipes to contend with, doing Agile development but not a very agile organization. Communication from upper management has been rather poor, even in the midst of recent restructuring and other unpleasantness. Not a lot of confidence that management knows what to do to turn things around.

Brand Recognition with some big clients but new client base is limiting. Pay and benefits decent depending on group and who is your "daddy"

Can't compete with newer technologies Poor acquisitions and little insight in future technologies by decision makers Good ol' boys clubs Limited growth opportunities Facing current challenges and don't think they will make it though

Pros

Good pay and great benefits. The 401K match, health insurance, stock purchase plan are just a few perks that kept me there for so long.

Cons

Culture, lack of direction, finger pointing, negativity, poisonous atmosphere. Teradata culture is fear based and rewards those who fight dirty.
