Teradata DCM has a very good product, you get to work with knowledgeable people, it is a very friendly atmosphere. The company offers good benefits and a good work life balance.

Cons

The management needs to figure out which way the company needs to go. There is very little support for the staff from top management, local management if extremely ineffective. They are going down the dreaded outsourcing path which they have done once before...and gotten burnt. There is very little transparency - management - especially local management is only interested in the paycheck they take home and the air miles they rack up. They are losing good , talented and experienced staff and they just don't seem to care.

Great products, great clients, great education, great challenge, good pay.

Cons

Company executives haven't realized that they no longer hold a lock on the Data Warehouse / BI space, and they simply are not motivated to change. Very few managers have less than 20 years of Teradata experience - pretty much defines the 'Ol Boys club.
