Pros

Don't have to wear a uniform. Flexible hours

Cons

What they don't tell you during the job interview (nor is it in the job description) is that you are held accountable for trying to get customers to sign up for their (high interest) credit cards. They actually keep track of how many cards you did or did't get each week and this is factored into whether you get a raise. Also, at the Ankeny IA store men get away with so much more and are not held to the same strict standards as the female cashiers. I have repeatedly seen the male cashiers lounging around texting on their cell phones while working at a register and management looks the other way, but if a female cashier isn't standing in exactly the right spot she gets admonished for it. Management is all men and there is a bro code they adhere to in that the men can do no wrong.

Pros

Ok starter job. If you kiss alot of butt the sky is the limit

Cons

Since there is no real HR your pretty much on your own on certain things. Benefits are horrible. move up easy in the company, but once your up understand that if you are not into butt kissing you wont last long. You can be the most loyal associate but you are still expendable Unless you are at the pro desk or receiving they dont really care much about work life balance.

Pros

If you work for Corporate you have better hours.

Cons

Tell you to "bleed orange" all the time, tell you its alright if you have to stay home with a sick kid but when you do it gets held against you, say they want to work with you if you have a family but then act like you don't care about your job and threaten to fire you.
