Pros

- Open culture - Lot of meet ups and great internal community

Cons

- The management people are worse. Management is only looking for growth than employees - Enforce people to join random projects which does not match their aspiration. - Doesn't take any action if employee express issues - Culture is changing drastically. - Seniors doesn't bother to observe folks, only interested to give feedback.

Thank you for your review and feedback. I hear you that as consultants, the types of work can vary and some projects feel more exciting than others. We're always working on trying to balance the types of work that our consultants are doing so you're exposed to a wide range of industries, challenges, and technical environments. It’s a balancing act, but at the end of the day, the work we're doing with our clients all equates to some pretty exciting, game-changing results for companies all over the world. We’re proud of the culture we’ve cultivated here thanks to the ThoughtWorkers we have with us. So feedback such as yours is important to us and we thank you for sharing. If you're open to having a personal conversation to share more details about the experiences you've had, please do email me at darshana@thoughtworks.com . Wishing you the best, Darshana

Pros

- Pairing full time allows you to learn fast - Feel spoiled when you have to travel to a client in a developed country

Cons

- Probably worst salary in Recife given the experience required - Anual reviews are all about how you pretend to look like, not who you are exactly - Salary raise and career growth is 50% related to contributions to social justice, 30% to how you spoil the managers and 20% how you improved as developer and consultant - The consultant, senior, lead levels are interpreted differently across different roles just to justify the salary. E.g. a Manager who should be at consultant level is given senior or lead level just to justify the salary, so when people say you can make more as a developer than a manager is just a lie unless you're a guru - You have to be left-winged otherwise you're not welcome - You have to like and support the whole LGBT agenda to be successful or look good, otherwise you're bad person and not welcome - You better go to all the parties, otherwise you're not cool enough for the culture - People that go to parties and get too drunk just take the next day off as "sick day" and that's fine because you went to the party and that makes you look good
