Pros

Understood the operations of the complex. Also we can get great experience by working and communicate with many financial advisors.

Cons

Nothing much to do! I was assigned to do ordinary office chores and didn't get to learn specific skills. Doing repetitive work everyday is so insipid.

Pros

My work received recognition from my team. Little micromanagement from my FA. Research reports and assignments allowed me to learn a lot about economics, investment vehicles, and even the effects of politics on investments. The culture at my branch encouraged sharing and personal development.

Cons

Few growth opportunities within the firm (for interns at least). Management should create more opportunities for growth for existing employees.

Pros

Very smart people, great resources, good flagship name that helps when attracting new clients, very helpful people who are always willing to take time to explain confusing aspects of the job

Cons

Hours were long and spent extensive time cold calling, which can prove to be difficult and cumbersome. Secretarial duties are banal.
