Pros

Lots of chances to learn, interact, apply knowledge and influence and improve processes. Great dynamic environment where things happen and change all the time.

Cons

Preoccupation with protecting risk to the company, but lacking clear communication to affected parties what needs to be done. Sometimes, a bit too much change for people to follow as well. Career progression can also depend a lot on where in the organization you currently are. Most doors are open for people who are already in the front-line or in sensitive IB areas.

Pros

Can earn your 7 and 66 Work is easy and will not take your whole day, but you cannot leave early great co-workers

Cons

No real career advancement- only two positions Mgmt pays favorites and holds grudges Very disorganized for a financial company The Financial Advisor position is no more than a glorified call center representative - you most answer 35 calls a day and do not make outcalls for financial reviews for clients This is the UBS Investment Center, not an actual UBS branch. so the clients are people who were dumped by their financial advisor in the field. So, most of the time the client does not want their account there. Since it is the investment center, the pay and perks are much, much less than the branch.

Pros

Good benefit package, top of the line training, able to keep up with the newest technology. Office close to home

Cons

To interested in the "big fish" and had no interest in the less monied clients. International company which lost sight of community.
