Pros

Nice people to work with. Intelligible people. Caring people. Great place to learn, get trained, and gain experience. Great for entry level (then leave).

Cons

The company itself is appears awful due to the fact all decisions have to be run through Switzerland. Super cheap especially when it comes to their compliance department. They don't make counter offers...not even to their top employees. Been her four years and the CEO has had two raises (20% and 4%) while my salary has stayed the same and my work had nearly tripled. Literally only promotion per compliance team is permitted. No growth here. Compliance is not where you want to apply, not unless you take more work and pats on the back as bonus currency. Let alone many of the jobs are transitioning Nashville. Seriously they will hire less experienced people with higher titles just to bring their pay to a competitive market salary and leave the current employees dry and disappointed. And remember what I said about promotions. Essentially there is no reason to be a rock star employee here.

Pros

Putting the UBS name on resume - that's about the only good thing I took away from the experience, which was a downright awful period of time in my professional life

Cons

-Ultra boring work -Ridiculous corporate bureaucracy -Culture of passing the buck, playing hot potato with work and projects -Hyper-politicized atmosphere, where your main job -- regardless of function/department/location -- is to protect your own butt and defend your turf so you stay employed -Obscenely understaffed, so your workload is double/triple what it really should be
