A ticking time bomb

Pros

Benefits are decent, most people are nice

Cons

Your experience will vary widely depending on location and role. Core support areas of the firm follow antiquated, manual processes. This results in being understaffed and over worked even though it is acknowledged how much work there is and how difficult it is to fill those roles. There is no real commitment to supporting those groups. There is also lots of pressure to constantly justify policy exceptions as long as it brings in money. Regardless of what the risk or ethics might actually be.

Pros

They were understanding of the difficulty of the finance tests as I did not come from a finance background.

Cons

Management changes were consistent and caused a lot of mistrust in the management team itself. I will say that I know there are good teams around, but I unfortunately did not have a good experience and here is why. I was told not to report the bad behavior I witnessed by various advisors as I was more likely to be fired than they would be. My cell phone number was given out to clients without my verbal permission and it also violated the employee handbook. I repeatedly witnessed rules being broken by advisors and team members but was scared of retribution to go through with the whistleblowing policy. Client's personal information was shared with me various times via text by an advisor. I was consistently asked to do personal tasks for advisors not within my job description. I was also asked to not conduct an exit interview by a team member. Once I finally got to my exit interview, a manager told me they already knew what went down and no further explanation was needed as I wasn't the first person to leave the team.

Pros

Good Benefits and fair compensation,

Cons

No feedback, no proper review, and no proper performance updates After the Credit Suisse acquisition, the bank has become conservative - frequent re-orgs, mandatory presence in the office, less flexibility, and worst is they can fire you anytime without reason.
