at standstill/going backward since CS Integration
Pros
Colleagues at DI level and below are most of the time very competent, helpful and overall have a good attitude to work, making project work enjoyable.
Cons
Attrition; upper management staff all think they are semi-gods, not bothering with the "lower staff" (despite us running the business). Since Credit Suisse integration, innovation and proper business is at stand still. Anything (or anyone) unrelated to integration gets killed. All top mgmt wants to hear is about Credit Suisse, as their juicy bonuses are directly linked to it, while us lower staff won't see a dime of it. Performance management and salary transparency is non existent. No help from direct manager or HR to steer or develop my career. Promotion is a political process, not driven by objective target measurement. Project reporting is ridiculous: reports of reports , with some "portfolio mgmt" teams imposing deadline and chasing for status reports and RAG statuses that no-one reads nor understands, bringing unnecessary work and friction to the whole. Benefits have been lowered more and more. Nothing else than free coffee at the office and cheap sunrise abos. Infrastructure is really lame, with unusable systems, very slow and overall archaic solutions. IT support is so-so. Working from home is not officially refrained, but we feel the pressure of coming back to the office even if not officially told, by for example having so much remote login issues.
