Pros

- Emphasis on internal mobility into other roles after ~1 year with the company (lateral moves though) - Younger work force (21 to 35 yrs old) - Opportunity for highly motivated individuals who do not need constant reassurance - Friendly colleagues/upbeat culture

Cons

- Starting salary tend to be below market value in HR - Pay increases tend to be on the low end unless you receive a rank promotion - Promotions and pay increases only occur once a year in an annual performance review period - Outdated technology - Terrible healthcare plan (bare minimum for vision/dental and high deductible for health)

Pros

* They can offer attractive looking compensation for the right fit. * There are some quality people on UBS team * Powerpoint ninjas and impressive talkers rule the place

Cons

* IB and Wealth Management appear to be doing ok. Asset Mgmt is under pressure with no coherent strategy * Quality of systems & IT is very weak -- among the weakest in large banks. Not enough thought is spent on design. Help-desk is not helpful. * Benefits are quite weak for a large company. In certain divisions, you'll have to move your accounts to UBS. That can amount to a meaningful financial penalty. Consider with overall offer (get it in writing) * Some in middle management were asking staff to give them good ratings on anonymous surveys
