      Pros

      Lots of chances to learn, interact, apply knowledge and influence and improve processes. Great dynamic environment where things happen and change all the time.

      Cons

      Preoccupation with protecting risk to the company, but lacking clear communication to affected parties what needs to be done. Sometimes, a bit too much change for people to follow as well. Career progression can also depend a lot on where in the organization you currently are. Most doors are open for people who are already in the front-line or in sensitive IB areas.

      Overall it was a positive experience but I found the decision-making process very bureaucratic.

      Pros

      Team-based environment and cross-functional support were the positive aspects of working at UBS. As a junior advisor, I found it extremely helpful to have a team of product experts and other advisors involved in my client meetings. It was a great way to learn from more seasoned colleagues.

      Cons

      The training session when I first started was very ineffective in my opinion. I learned how to do perform my daily tasks largely on-the-job.
