      Pros

      There are many groups within the firm that allow an employee to grow and excel. If one has an opportunity to join such a group, chances for advancement (career & salary) are incredibly high. Most importantly, these groups provide the employee with broad experience firm wide.

      Cons

      Employee's who work for the service group have a less chance of advancement. There are many layers of management within the group that it makes it practically impossible to advance. The most advancement one might receive is just a transfer to a different group within the service group. Salary advancement is very minimal.

      Pros

      Opportunities to succeed are there if you have the right attiude. Have been able to try a few different things whch is motivating.

      Cons

      Current issues are applicable to industry in general, but always being pushed to do more with less. Sometimes the less is just not enough.

      Pros

      My group had a great culture and I definitely learned a lot during the first year in my position. There were a lot of trainings (lunch n learn, training the street, etc.).

      Cons

      Constant management change, unclear strategy, lower comps than the rest of Wall Street firms. The corporate culture is mixed and your experience will depend a lot on the specific group you are in.
