Pros

People are fantastic. Support is great. Technology is great. Offices are world class.

Cons

If you're not doing more than $400K in production, your payout is pretty low. Payouts start around 28%. Difficult place to start in the business, but if you're a veteran with a good book, it's great.

Pros

The benefits are good, the tone is generally friendly. Work/life balance is very good. The firm successfully turned around after the 2007/08 disaster and seriously tries to repair the UBS brand, with quite some success so far.

Cons

Compensation is sub par, last bonus round was disappointing for the lower ranks despite good results. This is not a good way to retain good people.

Pros

The Brand though it has been tarnished as a result of the financial crisis is still world renowned. Moreover, the infrastructure, support and technology is awesome. there are a lot of very smart people that work here.

Cons

Old boys club management in the Investment Bank, that's why they lost 50 billion during the melt down. there has been some cleaning up but the old guard is still there in Stamford CT.
