CSA is a job but not much else.

Pros

Good atmosphere among support staff. If paired with the right financial advisor or team it can be a very enjoyable work environment.

Cons

No upside of getting out of being a CSA. Unattractive opportunities are presented. CSAs don't get promoted regularly to anything and it's not possible to move around the bank as a whole (i.e. out of WM and into GAM or IB). Management overly concerned with FA production and revenue to care about support staff goals.

Pros

International reach 24 hour support (your calls will get routed to New York, London, Hong Kong or Australia depending on the time of the day) Good benefits package

Cons

Large bureaucracy Favoritism during review process Cumbersome to get help when needed A lot of bloat in staff (though I think they fixed most of it from what I hear from my friends still there)
