Pros

Strong competitive positioning of the bank vs peers. Emphasis on growth and creating transparent and scalable trading models from front to back office , with more robust risk metrics and projects to improve trade booking model and the like.

Cons

Having come out of an implosion and losses of 2009 , lots of new employees from competitor firms. Hard to tell who knows the bank well.

Pros

Gaining experience of a very large organisation with a global reach and all the challenges that come with it

Cons

No clear business vision - frequent change of direction, no clearly articulated short term business goals or equivalent IT plans, consensus paralysis resulting in wrong or no decision, constant change because of wrong decisions, impossible to get your voice heard or influence anything, no cost control of change / no avareness of commercial aspects
