Pros

The people (fellow employees) - Everyone learns from each other and there is an ability to form friendships that reach outside of work hours. Good benefits (401k matching - automatic 4% regardless of whether you make a contribution, plus 75% of your contribution up to 4% of compensation, health, dental, vision)

Cons

Senior management incompetence - There are too many horror stories to list, from management not giving employees any bonus so they'll leave instead of management just laying them off, to laying people off on a Monday morning after they spent the entire weekend in the office to finish a project, to unfairly discipling people, so UBS can show statistics of how they handle situations. Lower compensation relative to peers - $5-10k less for each employee here and there means senior mangement can pad their own pockets.

Pros

Compensation and Benefits , Great Collagues , ( Good Perks ) Discounted Parking . Verizons great Discounts pkgs sav 19% . I miss alot of that.

Cons

Career Opportunities were never really as good as they make it out to be. They offered classes , that was great . However it was so busy with my 50 hours plus. Time was very difficult to make for these classes. It also required traveling that added to more time. Hard to balance with your personal life.

Pros

Global invest banking is a very interesting place to work especially if you've never been to such place before. The salary is good and some feeling of stability is also nice.

Cons

Probably as an every other global organization there are certain problems with communication. This include team members from different regions communicating to each other, different teams around sharing knowledge, management sharing their plans for future. One person might have several managers all giving him different tasks to do and sometimes even not knowing that these things contradict each other. Traders are quite special people - sometimes hard to deal with.
