Pros

Benefits are comparable. Feedback is fairly accurate and very timely. You can learn a great deal and they train their employees very well. Great place to do a internship.

Cons

The culture seems somewhat laid back but do not be fooled because management watches you like a hawk. They are time clock slaves. The pay is lower than industry standard. If you decide to stick around for the long haul then be prepared to move because positions need to open in order to be promoted. Someone above you will have to leave, retire or be promoted in order for you to move up no matter how qualified you are. They recently made their specialist hourly employees.

Pros

The benefit of working at UPS is simply that, the benefits. A great overall package consisting of medical, dental, 401k match and an employee stock purchase plan were the main offerings. The work environment is great for a recent college graduate that can dedicate a good deal of time to their career. Those who can put in the hours are generally given a preference and the opportunity to develop.

Cons

If you're an hourly employee at UPS you can pretty much expect to work a standard 40 hour work week, but if you are a salaried employee watch out, you'll be working the extra hours to complete things the hourly employees couldn't get done. Very difficult to advance in departments outside of the core operations due the number of people competing for the position and the length of time between an available opening.
