Pros

good pay benefits nice coworkers vacation

Cons

schedule inflexible Promotions based on longevity and tenure instead of qualifications and skillset. New managers with absolutely no experience with current technologies being implemented are making decisions without the input and advice from experienced consultants. Arrongance is their strong suit.

Pros

-Medical and dental benefits are awesome (low copays) -Pension -Overtime after 5 hour for part-timers -Tuition reimbursement -Union -Vacation time -Variety of jobs -Weekends off -Paid holidays -Work is done at the end of shift unlike other jobs when work can drag on for weeks or months. Every day is a new beginning.

Cons

-Extreme temperatures, no a/c or heat -Very physical work (I was told when I was hired to get a feel for the job I should pick up a box of paper and move it across the room and then repeat for 3 hours.) -Hard to get full time work, especially if you don’t want to drive. I been bidding for 10 years and not full time yet. -No AEDs for employee safety (one death by heart attack is one too many) -Management make you feel like a number, won’t consider worker input. -Even though part time you work 5 days a week, would rather work the same hours in less days. -No long term disability for part-timer, not good if you get a illness that knocks you down for a while.

Pros

Haven't received the benifits yet, but from what I hear they are great. The pay is good for how many hours I work. The earn and learn program is great because I keep what I make and not have to deplete my checking account for tuition.

Cons

It is very physical work. You will go home sore and more exhausted than you have been in your life. It gets insanely hot in the summer, and I work in the sort isle... For the ones in the trailers I feel absolute sympathy for them. The demands are insane but if you can survive you will be happy that there is still time in the day for you to enjoy yourself. The pay isn't great weekly but you must keep in mind that you only work about 18 hours a week. So, excellent for a college student, other situations, not sure.
