Pros

Great salary and benefits. Good work/life balance (if you can are good at setting priorities). Following are Pros if you're looking for a comfortable job and have little ambition: Very hard to get fired. Performance has no impact on pay, job security and career advancement. Most of your mistakes and goof-ups will go unnoticed.

Cons

poor talent management and performance management systems. an organization still languishing in the glory days from the past, seemingly oblivious of future challenges and clueless about its relevance in present times.

Pros

The mission of the agency is, in itself rewarding to work for. Their location is pretty good, their partners are various and interesting to work with. The leave is pretty good as it is in the UN system Honestly, that's all I can say that is positive

Cons

This organization is totally worthless. Their mission is very important unfortunately they spent time and money traveling and promote oneself at the management level. The purpose of mission and most of the programs are totally ignored unless there is a strong monetary interest. The current Director applies an authoritarian leadership with no room for ideas, growth or opinion. He is surrounded by incompetent staff who have been there for years and have never actually worked for the UN system outside of that office, There is no room for growth , and forget about asking for a raise! A very disappointing experience!
